An emerging cattle farmers’ co-op, in the Theewaterskloof Municipality, is receiving funding and business support from Klipheuwel Wind Farm to help the group improve the standard of the herd, which will drive income for the co-op to become more sustainable and thereby stimulate local job creation. Thandi Radebe from the Pellsrus community, is one of the local community members in the Jeffreys Bay area to have received a vegetable planter box, together with spinach seedlings, compost and training to become proficient in natural sustainable vegetable farming. (more…)

Thanks to the youth Olympiakos Football Club in Noupoort, who started a community soup kitchen during the COVID-19 pandemic, 140 vulnerable community members, including 72 children, are receiving daily cooked meals, in an effort to support those most impacted by the pandemic. The project is being funded by Noupoort Wind Farm’s socio economic development programme and is being implemented in collaboration with the two local clinics in the area. (more…)

Umoya Energy Wind Farm, within the Saldanha Bay Municipality, is offering 2021 academic scholarships for local Grade 12 learners.
