Jacobus is a G7 Project Manager focused on site identification works, as well as the accrual of lease and permitting rights for Renewable Energy Development. Jacobus has a B.Tech Degree in Town & Regional Planning from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology where he also offers part-time lectures on the foundations of Environmental Management from time to time.

Jacobus practices as a registered Professional Town and Regional Planner with more than a decade of planning consulting experience, specialising in securing rights for renewable energy projects. Apart from the coordination of leases, land use change processes, landowner relations, he also heads G7 Renewable Energy’s Economic Development arm.
