Fiona D Wollensack
Secretariat Of The Africa-EU Energy Partnership
Fiona D. Wollensack works in the Africa-EU Energy Partnership’s Secretariat, where she is responsible for the AEEP’s knowledge facilitation work. In this function she supports work on the dissemination of the latest insights, good practice and experience exchange in the field of energy, and their integration into policy for the African energy transformation. Fiona works with decision- and policy-makers, regulators and knowledge partners from across Africa and Europe to leverage and connect insights and expertise relevant for their work. Additionally, Fiona strategically advises the Partnership on communications and outreach, and acts as liaison with the European Commission. She is based in Brussels. Before joining the AEEP’s Secretariat, Fiona D. Wollensack advised the European Commission and EU Member States on their energy development cooperation, supporting coordination, coherence and information exchange as part of a large multi-donor project implemented by the GIZ. This role built on Fiona’s decade-long experience as an international strategy and communications consultant, during which she advised clients from the public, private and third sector on in the fields of energy, climate mitigation and adaptation, and governance innovation. Fiona is also a trained moderator and facilitator.
