SAWEA CEO Brenda Martin convened a meeting of working group (WG) chairs this morning (27th January, 2017). WG activities and priorities for the year ahead were presented and opportunities for co-operation and the building of synergies surfaced.
Brenda presented an overview of SAWEA’s strategic priorities in the short and long term and shared updated guidelines for working groups along with related forthcoming increased support from the SAWEA national office to working groups. Three more such meetings will be convened over the course of the year, with the intention of building coherence, continuity and improved lines of communication between the SAWEA Executive and WGs.
